Access to Configuration

The settings in the Configuration module are so vital to R.O. Writer's daily operation that access to Configuration is always available.

You can access Configuration as follows:

• If R.O. Writer is open, you can access Configuration on the R.O. Writer main window
  • On the File menu.
  • In the Quick Launch.
• If R.O. Writer is not open, you can access Configuration on the Windows Start menu.

Accessing Configuration on the R.O. Writer Main Window

There are two ways to access Configuration on the R.O. Writer main window:

• On the File menu.
• In the Quick Launch.

Access Configuration on the File Menu

Because the Configuration module can be hidden from the Quick Launch, access to Configuration was added to the File menu in R.O. Writer 3.0.

Access Configuration in the Quick Launch

The Configuration button appears on the Quick Launch if the Configuration module box is checked in the Quick Launch section of the General Options window.

Accessing Configuration on the Windows Start Menu

The Configuration button appears in the R.O. Writer section of the Start menu after every installation or upgrade of R.O. Writer Client.

You cannot open R.O. Writer from the Start menu while Configuration is open. If you need to have both R.O. Writer main and Configuration modules open at the same time,

1. Open R.O. Writer from the Start menu.
2. Open Configuration on the R.O. Writer main window.

You can toggle back and forth between the modules in the taskbar.

NOTE: Access to Configuration from R.O. Tray was removed in R.O. Writer 3.0.
