Smart Job Categories
Smart Jobs use the existing labor category by default. If you do not configure the Smart Job Category separately, R.O. Writer uses the existing labor category information.
Configuring Smart Job Categories
You configure Smart Job Categories:
- Modifying the labor category information in the Smart Job Category.
- Add a new Smart Job Category.
To Modify Existing Labor Categories
Complete these steps:

Click the Configuration menu > Labor > Smart Jobs. The Edit Smart Job window opens.
- Click the plus (+) button at the end of the Job Category dropdown list. The Edit Smart Job Categories window opens.
- Click the down arrow of the dropdown list. The list expands showing all existing labor categories and Smart Job Categories (if different from the labor category).
- Select a labor category.
- The details of the labor category appear in the window.
The dropdown list is disabled. (To select another category, click Cancel to close the window and reopen it.)
- Modify the
- Order
- Category name
- Begin typing a name in the field.
- When you click Save, the name appears in the dropdown list.
- Select the:
- Labor Category (Required)
- Labor Operation (Optional)
- Click the Add button to add the new Smart Job Category.
To Add a New Smart Job Category
You must enter a Category description and select a Labor Operation.
Complete these steps:

Click the Configuration menu > Labor > Smart Jobs. The Edit Smart Job window opens.

Click the plus (+) button at the end of the Job Category dropdown list. The Edit Smart Job Categories window opens blank.
- Click the Add button to activate the fields.
- Select the Active option.
- Type in the Category name (Required).
- Select the:
- Labor Category (Required)
- Labor Operation (Optional)
- Click the Save button.
- The new Category is saved.
- The fields clear out.
To Set the Job Order
The entry in the Order field determines the order in which the category appears in dropdown lists.
- When creating a new Smart Job category, you have to save the new category first. After the Smart Job category is saved, then you can enter the Order number.
- Select the new category from the dropdown list.
- A "0" appears in the Order field.
- Type in the value you want.
- Click Save.
- When modifying and existing category, the Order field is active when you select the category.
