Job-Based and Non-Job-Based Form Types

Forms can be formatted in the job-based or non-job-based format for tickets.

On the main window, the job-based view is determined by Windows menu > Job Based Repair Orders.

The Windows menu in the main module with Job based selected.

However, this selection does NOT affect the printed format of the ticket. The selected form type determines whether the ticket prints in the job-based or non-job-based view. If you want the printed ticket to be in the job-based format, make sure to select a form that has "Job Based" in the name in the Form Types Configuration setting.

There is a Job Based box on the Forms Setup window, but it does NOT affect printing for standard form types. The Job Based box is active only for custom form types. It tells R.O. Writer that the selected custom form has been formatted - outside of R.O. Writer - in the job-based format.

The Job Based box on the Forms Setup window disabled.
