Printing Oil Stickers from Tickets

Oil stickers can be printed only from a ticket that contains a labor operation or Smart Job configured to print oil stickers.

There are two ways that oil stickers print from a ticket:

1. On-demand on the Other Information tab.
2. Automatically when printing the invoice after finalizing.

Printing Oil Stickers On Demand

Oil stickers can be printed on-demand at any time by clicking the Print Sticker button on the Other Information tab (ALT + K).

The Print Oil Sticker window opens.

TIP! ALWAYS CHECK the information on the Print Oil Sticker window before clicking OK to print the oil sticker.

Printing Oil Stickers When Finalizing Repair Orders

The Prompting setting determines if oil stickers print when finalizing repair orders that contain labor that is configured to print oil stickers.

There are three options:

• Never means never prompt and never print oil stickers.
• Prompt means always prompt to print an oil sticker. The prompt is the Print Oil Sticker window where you can modify some of the content.
  • If you click OK on the prompt, the oil sticker prints.
  • If you click Cancel on the prompt, the oil sticker does not print.

  TIP! Always check the information on the Print Oil Sticker window before clicking OK to print the oil sticker.

• Always means do not prompt to print oil stickers BUT do print oil stickers immediately.

Print Oil Sticker Prompt

The Print Oil Sticker window pops up as the prompt when you are prompted to print an oil sticker. This window provides you with an opportunity to edit what will print on the sticker before you print it.

You are prompted to print an oil sticker when

• You click the Print Sticker button on the Other Information tab.
• You print the final invoice for the customer after finalizing the repair order IF your Prompting setting in Oil Sticker Configuration is set to Prompt.

When Oil Type is Blank

If Oil Type is left blank on the labor in Configuration,

• The Oil Type entry will be blank on the printed oil sticker when it is printed automatically after finalizing the repair order.

• The Oil Type field label is red and the field is blank on the Print Oil Sticker window that opens when you print manually or are prompted to print on finalize.

  

• You can type in the oil type before printing or leave it blank.
  • If you leave the Print Oil Sticker blank on the Print Oil Sticker window, the Oil Type line will be blank on the printed oil sticker.
