The Sales by Category report shows sales by labor category. The main report and category tabs show totals for each labor category or technician.

| Technician Name |
The technician for the Category tabs. "Not Assigned" means the labor had no technician assigned. |
| Jobs | Number of labor jobs in that category. When the option is checked to count jobs by category, this number does not count every job. If there are two jobs for the same category, they will be counted as one. |
| Time | Total Time of all labor jobs. |
| Labor |
Total labor charges. "Not Found" means no labor category was assigned. |
| Parts | Total parts sales not including parts fees or core charges. Parts not attached to labor operations in job-based view will show under category Not Assigned. Parts with no technician assigned will show technician as Not Assigned. |
| Other | Taxable and Non-Taxable Parts Fees + Supply charges + Sublet - Discounts. Supply charges are averaged across categories for each repair order. |

| Cost of Stock Inv | Total cost of stock parts not including core charges. |
| Cost of Non Stock | Total cost of non-stock parts not including core charges. |

Drilldown Reports
When printed to the screen, this is a drilldown report.
To see the technicians that completed that job, double-click on a category or technician. The information appears in the same format but for that technician only.
To See All the Jobs Performed by a Technician in a Category
Double-click on a technician to view the report for that specific technician by repair order and job. The detail screen for specific technicians shows the same information for each labor operation. It also shows the repair order number, close date, and labor description for each labor operation.
