Rescheduling Appointments
You can reschedule appointments by
- Dragging and dropping the tiles on the Scheduler window.
- Opening the appointment window and changing the date and time.
NOTE: Appointments linked to closed repair orders cannot be rescheduled or changed if Lock Closed R.O. is selected in Scheduler Options.
To Drag and Drop the Appointment Tiles
To reschedule the appointment, drag and drop the appointment tile
- To a different time.
- To a different technician (in the technician’s view or the combination view).
- To a different resource (in the resources view or the combination view).
- To a different date if you can see the date. If you have to scroll to see the date, you cannot drag the appointment to it.
To change the duration of the appointment, press and hold the cursor at the bottom edge or top edge of the appointment tile until the cursor turns into a double arrow.
Then, drag the double arrow up or down.
To Open the Appointment Window
Double-click the appointment tile to open the appointment window. Change the appointment details in the fields on the window.
Confirmation Emails and Texts
When you reschedule appointments in Scheduler, it triggers the confirmation settings in R.O. Writer and R.O. Writer DVI Suite.
Confirmation Emails from R.O. Writer
If Scheduler is configured to prompt the user to send a confirmation email, you are prompted to send a confirmation email.
If Scheduler is configured to always send a confirmation email, R.O. Writer sends a confirmation email automatically.
Confirmation Texts from R.O. Writer DVI Suite
When you reschedule appointments in Scheduler, it resets the appointment in R.O. Writer DVI Suite as well. If the Text Appointments Configuration setting is set to text appointment confirmations for new appointments, DVI will send a text confirming the new appointment details.
