R.O. Writer makes finding and selling tires easy. R.O. Writer's Tire Quote tool allows you to search your local inventory and your online suppliers at the same time, then post tires directly to open tickets.

- Integrate R.O. Writer with specific suppliers so you can search their inventory and order tires online without ever leaving R.O. Writer.
Load Local Inventory Into R.O. Writer
You add tires to your local inventory records the same way you add all parts to your local inventory.
Considerations for Tire Parts
- Make sure you do the following to ensure that your local inventory is included in Tire Quote searches:
- Enter the tire size in the Alternate # field so that it is retrieved in tire size searches.
- Make sure the tire is included in the tire group.
- Enter the tire information - such as rating and tread depth - so that information appears wherever the tire appears.
Connect to Online Tire Suppliers
If you want to search for and order tires directly from certain suppliers in Tire Quote, you need to set up an electronic ordering interface for each of those suppliers in Configuration. When that connection is established, Tire Quote searches those catalogs when you have an active internet connection.
To Find the Right Tire for the Vehicle
Tire Quote is the preferred tool to find tires. You can search by tire size - if you know it - or search by vehicle if you don't know the tire size.
Tire Quote is fully integrated with the Tire Fitment functionality in Epicor which matches vehicles to tire sizes. When you open Tire Quote from an open ticket, Tire Quote picks up the vehicle information and finds the matching tire sizes for it.
Ordering Tires
If the tires you need aren't on-hand, you'll need to order them.
- Order tires on one open repair order in Smart eOrder.
- Open the repair order and click the Smart eOrder button
. - Only items that need to be ordered appear on the window.
- Open the repair order and click the Smart eOrder button
- Order tires on all open repair orders in Smart eOrder.
- Exit or minimize all tickets and click the Smart eOrder button .
- All items that need to be ordered appear on the window. You can select the tires you want to order on multiple repair orders.
- Exit or minimize all tickets and click the Smart eOrder button
- Order tires as part of managing inventory in Purchase Order Management.
