Repair Order Printing
These options affect the appearance of a repair order when it is printed.
Print Menu Parts
This selection determines if menu parts are printed on the repair order. If the Menu option is selected on the Edit Parts window, the price changes to "0.00". Because the part has no price, they are usually included in a labor operation and the price of the part is included in the labor operation.
- If selected, the part prints with no price.
- If not selected, the part does not print at all.
Print Part Numbers
This selection determines if part numbers are printed on the repair order. Some shops do not select this feature so that customers cannot go to the parts store and compare prices.
Print Labor Times
This selection determines if the billable labor times are printed on the repair order (see Labor Operations). It is usually a better practice to sell a labor operation at a certain price, rather than explain the hours billed, and the billing rate.
Print Labor Rates
This selection determines if the billable labor rates are printed on the repair order (see Labor Operations). Printing the labor rate on the repair order could confuse the customer, and lead to a lot of questions. Remember, each labor operation has the
possibility of being billed at four different rates, so it is possible to have multiple operations at different rates on the repair order.
Print Fees Summary
This option will split out the fees in the subtotals at the bottom of the printed repair order.
