Report Files Imported

Reports file are all files in the Term folder with an *.rpt extension. During the import process, R.O. Writer determines which report files are system reports and which report files are custom reports.

System Reports

System reports are the standard reports R.O. Writer requires to function correctly. As a result, system reports cannot be modified or deleted.

R.O. Writer defines the following report files as system reports during import:

• All standard forms, including:
  • The form types for tickets and work orders
  • Receipts, purchase orders, and invoices
• All standard reports, including:
  • Reporting:
    • Sales Reports
    • Other Reports
    • Lists
    • Management Analyzer
  • Inventory Reports
  • Marketing Reports
  • Accounts Receivable Reports
  • Accounts Payable Reports

Custom Form Types

Custom forms are the *.rpt files used for printed quotes, work orders, and customer invoices. R.O. Writer includes several standard form types. However, many shops use custom form types to best suit their daily business.

Custom form types can be modified, renamed, and deleted in the Custom Reports Utility in Configuration.
