Views Built by R.O. Writer
Browse always opens in the Top Stock View (Default). Top Stock is the default view until you make another view the default in the Configure Views setting.
R.O. Writer has created three views for your convenience:
These views appear in the View dropdown list above the table as the top three views.
Views built by R.O. Writer cannot be modified or deleted. For more information, see
Top Stock View (Default)
The Top Stock view is the default view until you choose another view.
The Top Stock view displays the following columns from the Inventory record:
- Part Num
- Alt Part Num
- Description
- Department
- Retail Price
- On Hand
- Location
- Line
- Supplier
- Entry Date
- Number Sold
- Reorder At
- Stock To
NOTE: No columns in the Top Stock view have the Sum box checked .
The Top Stock view is sorted by
- On-Hand quantity (in descending order) and
- Part Num (in ascending order).
You can see the sorting settings by clicking the Configure Views button > Sorting tab.
TIP: You can use the Top Stock view to create a new, custom view that already contains the majority of the information you might want in any view so that you do not have to create a new view from scratch.
Negative On Hand View
The Negative On Hand view shows you the inventory records with a negative on-hand value (On Hand < 0).
The Negative On Hand view displays the following columns from the inventory record:
- Negative On Hand
- Part Num
- Alt Part Num
- Description
- Department
- Retail Price
- On Hand
- Location
- Line
- Supplier
- Entry Date
- Number Sold
- Reorder At
- Stock To
NOTE: No columns in the Negative On Hand view have the Sum box checked .
The Negative On Hand view is sorted by
- On-Hand quantity (in ascending order) and
- Part Num (in ascending order).
You can see the sorting settings by clicking the Configure Views button > Sorting tab.
Unsold Stock View
The Unsold Stock view shows the parts you have had in stock for a year but have not sold. The criteria for inventory records in this view are as follows:
- On Hand > 0
- Current Date – Entry Date > 1 year
- Number Sold = 0.
The Unsold Stock view displays the following columns from the inventory record:
- Part Num
- Alt Part Num
- Description
- Department
- Retail Price
- On Hand
- Location
- Line
- Supplier
- Start_Date
- Number Sold
- Reorder At
- Stock To
NOTE: No columns in the Unsold Stock view have the Sum box checked .
The Unsold Stock view is sorted by
- Start_Date (in ascending order),
- On Hand quantity (in descending order), and
- Part Num (in ascending order).
