Removing the Part Link

You may find over time that you need to remove the link between the Epicor viscosity and the part. Perhaps a viscosity was linked to the wrong part by mistake. Perhaps a viscosity was linked to the wrong part by mistake or you want to change the configuration of the job. Either way, you can unlink any part from a viscosity on the Smart Fluids Setup window.

Removing the Part Link

Part linking and removal apply only to the job that is currently open. Part linking and removal cannot be shared across multiple jobs.

To Remove the Part Link

Complete these steps:

  1. Open the Smart Oil job in Configuration by clicking Configuration menu > Labor > Smart Jobs.
  2. Select the Smart Oil job. The Edit Smart Jobs window opens.
  3. In the Smart Fluids section, click the Configure button. The Smart Fluids Setup window opens displaying the current part linking in the Epicor Viscosities Linked to Parts section on the right.

  4. Select the link and click the Remove Link To Part button. The link is removed.
    • The part link entry is removed from the Epicor Viscosities Linked to Parts section.
    • The Epicor viscosity is added back to the Epicor Viscosities Not Linked to Parts section.
