Auto-Posting Alignments

You can configure Tire Quote to prompt users to post an alignment labor automatically when posting tires to open tickets.

Configuring Auto-Post Alignment

To auto-post alignment, you need to select a labor operation as the default for posting alignments.

Step 1 - Create a Labor Operation for Alignment

When you create the alignment labor operation, keep in mind that you can choose only one labor operation to add when posting tires. You may want to create a labor category for alignments or simply create one labor operation in the labor category for tire quote packages.

Complete these steps:

1. Open R.O. Writer Configuration .
2. Click the Configuration menu > Labor > Operations.

3. Create an operation for alignments.

   

4. Click Save to save the operation.
5. Click Close to close the labor operations setting.

Step 2 - Select the Alignment Setting in Tire Quote Options

Complete these steps:

1. Open R.O. Writer Configuration .
2. Click the Configuration menu > Repair Order > Tire Quote Options.

3. At the top of the window, check the Prompt for Auto-Post Alignment box. The Alignment section at the bottom of the window activates.

   

4. Select the Category of the alignment labor in the dropdown list.

5. Select the labor Operation of the alignment labor in the dropdown list. The charges and total appear in the read-only fields.

   

6. Click OK to save your changes.

Auto-Posting Alignment Labor

When auto-post alignment is configured in Tire Quote Options in Configuration, you are prompted to add an alignment when you post tires to open tickets.

• Click Yes on the prompt to add the alignment labor a separate labor line below the tire package.

• Click No on the prompt to add the alignment labor as a declined labor line below the tire package.
