Update Your Transtar Interface

If you used Transtar® in a previous version of R.O. Writer, the supplier interface is currently pointed to the eSource® platform. Transtar sunsetted the eSource® platform and replaced it with the Transend™ platform. Before you access Transtar, you must update the interface to point to the Transend platform.

NOTE: Transtar requires a username and password to access the Transend platform. You must contact Transtar to obtain the username and password for your account. R.O. Writer cannot contact Transtar for you or provide you with login credentials.

To Update Your Transtar Interface

Complete these steps:

  1. In Configuration, click Configuration > Parts > Suppliers.
  2. In the Supplier dropdown list, select your Transtar supplier.

  3. In the electronic ordering interface section, double-click the interface name to open the interface details.

    NOTE: The Set Coverage File Download Options button has been disabled because Transtar does not use a coverage file (i.e., an MCL file).

  4. The supplier interface section displays your eSource connection information.
  5. In the User Name and Password fields, enter the login credentials you obtained from Transtar.
    • These fields replace the Webkey used to access the eSource platform.

  6. Check the Service URL field. The following URL should be in the Service URL field: https://api.transend.us.

    The correct URL has been programmed into R.O. Writer for your convenience.

    • If you see any other URL in the Service URL field, click the Set to Default URL <<< button to replace the Service URL with https://api.transend.us.

  7. Click Save to save your changes and close the electronic ordering window.
  8. Click Save on the main Supplier window.
  9. Your Transtar supplier is now connected to the Transend platform.

For the most part, the Transtar functionality remains the same in Smart eCat. However, there are some Changes in Smart eCat .
