Reindex After Backups

Reindexing a database helps manage and control the fragmentation that can occur in all SQL databases. Reindexing keeps SQL databases functioning at optimal levels.

R.O. Writer includes reindexing in the database backup process by default. The live database is reindexed after the backup file is created.

The Reindex box is checked by default on the following windows:

R.O. Writer recommends that you leave Reindex checked for all database backups.
