Opening the Workstation Upgrade Tool

The Workstation Upgrade Tool installs with R.O. Writer Client as a separate program. The application extension is located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ROWriter\Bin folder.

Accessing and Opening the Workstation Upgrade Tool

The Workstation Upgrade Tool does not have a desktop icon or button. You must navigate to the folder and open the application directly.

Complete these steps:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Navigate to and open the C:\Program Files (x86)\ROWriter\Bin folder.
  3. In the Bin folder, scroll down to the application file named “WorkstationUpgradeTool.exe”.
  4. Double-click the WorkstationUpgradeTool.exe. The tool opens to the main window.

Choosing Export or Import

Complete these steps:

  1. On the main window of the Workstation Upgrade Tool, click the Next button.
  2. The export and import window opens.

  3. Click Export Settings and Reports

    The Export button.
    OR
    Import Settings and Reports

    The Import button.

  4. The Database Selection window opens.
  5. Select a database.
