Setting

Description

No Default Technician on Parts

Select this option if you do not want a default technician. This means that you will need to assign the technician whenever you add a part.

Default Technician from Previous Part

Select this option if you want the technician from the previous part assigned to each new part added.

Default Technician from Job Based Labor

Select this option if you want the technician from the previous labor operation assigned to the next labor operation added.

This option applies only to the job based view of tickets.

Some shops select this option so that they can assign the generic “shop” technician to each labor operation. Then, the actual technician can be selected later.

Ask to Apply to All Parts and Labor

Check this box to prompt the user to select the technician assigned on the first labor operation as the default for all parts and labor added to the ticket. The prompt appears after you select the technician on the first labor operation.

Do Not Show Technician if Not Clocked In

Check this box to exclude technicians that are not clocked into the Employee Time Clock from the list of technicians that can be assigned.
