Configuration menu > Parts > Set Pricing Method
The Set Parts Pricing Method window opens.
On the Set Parts Pricing Method window, you set pricing methods for several areas.
Parts in Inventory
These are parts that have an inventory record in the Inventory module of R.O. Writer. Click Default Inventory Pricing to set up the pricing methods in the Parts in Inventory section.
The following pricing method options area available for Parts in Inventory:
- Cost Plus Multiplier (CPM)
- Matrix Pricing by Supplier
- Matrix Pricing by Department
- Smart Matrix Pricing by Supplier
- Smart Matrix Pricing by Department
NOTE: The parts can be designated as Stock, Non-Stock, or Consigned. As long as there is a part record in the Inventory module, the pricing method selected here applies.
Outside Purchases
These are parts that have no inventory record in the Inventory module of R.O. Writer. Click Default Outside Purchase Pricing to set up the pricing methods in the Outside Purchases section.
The following pricing method options area available for Outside Purchases:
- Cost Plus Multiplier (CPM)
- Matrix Pricing by Supplier
- Matrix Pricing by Department
- Matrix Pricing by Associated Labor
- Smart Matrix Pricing by Supplier
- Smart Matrix Pricing by Department
- Smart Matrix Pricing by Associated Labor
Smart Pricing Options
These options determine how smart pricing should behave when performing the following functions in R.O. Writer:
- When Correcting Required Entries During Finalize
- When Cutting and Pasting Parts from One Job to Another
- When Parts in Inventory Are Not in Stock
NOTE: Options with a red star are not supported in the NAPA catalog, Nexpart and ACDelco WISE Connect interfaces.
