Fleet Accounts
Before working with fleet accounts on estimates and repair orders, you must configure the fleet wizard. Open the Configuration module and click Configuration menu > Fleet Wizard Setup.
Fleet Wizard
When a vehicle comes into your shop for service is part of a fleet, you create an estimate or repair order as you normally would. The difference is that you need to assign the vehicle to a fleet through the Fleet Wizard.
The Fleet Wizard is a series of tab windows that guide you through the process of assigning a vehicle to a fleet account.
You access the Fleet Wizard from an open ticket by clicking the Fleet button in the ticket toolbar .
Types of Fleet Accounts
When working with fleet accounts, it's important to know what type of fleet account your customer has or should have.
There are three types of fleet accounts in R.O. Writer:
- National accounts are companies that do not manage a fleet of cars but do manage client companies who own and manage a fleet of cars. These accounts can be extended a line of credit (in Accounts Receivable) or choose a payment type in Fleet Wizard Setup.

- House accounts are for companies that own and manage their own fleet of cars. These accounts can be extended a line of credit (in Accounts Receivable) or choose a payment type in Fleet Wizard Setup.
- COD accounts are for companies that own their own fleet of cars. These accounts must pay in full at the time of service by cash, check, or charge.
