Configuring the Coverage File Download for Suppliers

You need to choose how the coverage file should be downloaded for each supplier. This feature is available to Smart eCat users.

General Coverage File Download Setting

This setting applies to coverage file downloads for all suppliers. You can customize how each supplier downloads coverages when configuring the electronic ordering interface for the supplier.

Click Configuration menu > Repair Order > Catalog Options. Select how you wants to download coverages when R.O. Writer starts:

Click the Show Servers & Coverages button to view coverages and the dates they were last updated.

Coverage File Download Options by Supplier

In Suppliers configuration, select the supplier and click the Set Coverage File Download Options button.

The Coverage File Download Options window opens and allows you to choose manual or automatic downloads for the supplier.

Option This option means…

The Coverage File is Manually Created and Manually Imported into Smart eCat

The coverage file cannot be automatically downloaded when R.O. Writer starts nor can it be downloaded into Smart eCat by clicking the Download Coverages button.

The Coverage File Can be Manually Downloaded

The coverage cannot be automatically downloaded when R.O. Writer starts but can be downloaded in Smart eCat when clicking the Download Coverages button.

You need to select what happens when the coverage file is downloaded.

The Coverage File Can be Manually Downloaded and Automatically Downloaded

The coverage file can be automatically downloaded. Click the Update Coverages button in Smart eCat to add these values.

When Coverage File is Downloaded

If you've selected any kind of manual download, you need to decide what to the system does with the existing coverage file during download or import

Delete the Old File and Replace it With the New One*

Append Any New Lines to the Existing File*

*These two options are not available for IAP suppliers and are grayed out. The file is always replaced.

NOTE: Coverage downloads are not available for Autoi suppliers, so this button is grayed out. The coverage must be manually created or manually imported.
