Checklist
The checklist is an important part of the repair order. By inspecting a customer’s car, value is added to the service, and it is quite possible that the customer’s confidence in the work being done will increase. This is potentially a source of increased revenue for the shop as well.
These items
- Are printed on the repair order, and are saved in history.
- Appear as service recommendations if the item is checked as bad.
- May be used for follow-up letters to customers.
Checklist Descriptions
Click Configuration menu > Repair Order > Checklist > Descriptions. The Check List Items window appears.
There are 18 spaces for checklist descriptions on the Check List Items window. Enter the inspection checklist items you want to use in your shop.
These items appear
- In the Check List Item dropdown list in the Checklist Recommendations Configuration setting.
- As the services on the Service Checklist window.
Checklist Recommendations
Click Configuration menu > Repair Order > Checklist > Recommendations. The Checklist Recommendations window appears.
Checklist recommendations appear in the Needed Services dropdown list on the Service Checklist window in the main module of R.O. Writer.
You must create Checklist Descriptions before you can create recommendations.
To Add Recommendations
Complete these steps:
- On the Checklist Recommendations window, select an item in the Checklist Item dropdown list. (This list is populated by the Check List Descriptions Configuration setting.)

Click the Add button. The blank fields in the Recommendations section activates. A cursor starts blinking to indicate that you can type in it.

Enter the name and click OK to add it to the Recommendations dropdown list.
- Repeat these steps as desired for all checklist items.
- When all changes have been entered, click Close.
