Repair Order Printing
These options determine if specific content prints on printed repair orders and customer invoices.
NOTE: Please note that the exact layout and format of printed repair orders and customer invoices are determined by the form selected for repair orders in the Form Type Configuration setting.
Print Menu Parts
The Print Menu Parts setting determines if menu parts are printed on the repair order. If the Menu option is selected on the Edit Parts window, the price changes to "0.00" in the Jobs section. Because the parts have no price, they are usually included in a labor operation.
- If checked, the part prints with no price.
- If not checked, the part does not print at all.
Print Part Numbers
Check Print Part Numbers to print part numbers on repair orders and customer invoices.
NOTE: Some shops do not select this feature so customers cannot go to the parts store and compare prices.
Print Labor Times
Check Print Labor Times to print billable labor times on repair orders and customer invoices.
This selection works only when a custom form type that is designed to print labor times is selected for repair orders in the Form Types configuration setting. Standard form types do not print labor times even if this box is checked.
NOTE: It is usually a better practice to sell a labor operation at a certain price, rather than explain the hours billed and the billing rate.
Print Labor Rates
Check Print Labor Rates to print billable labor rates on repair orders and customer invoices.
This selection works only when a custom form type that is designed to print labor rates is selected for repair orders in the Form Types configuration setting. Standard form types do not print labor rates even if this box is checked.
NOTE: Each labor operation can be billed at four different rates, so it is possible to have multiple operations at different rates on the repair order. Therefore, printing the labor rate on the repair order could confuse the customer and lead to a lot of questions.
Print Fees Summary
Check Print Fees Summary to split the fees into subtotals at the bottom of the printed repair order.
