Printing a Document

To print a document, select either the Print button in the toolbar, or File, Print from the menu. If a data field has been entered for customer or vehicle information, the user will be prompted to select a customer and vehicle as required (see Searches).

The customer and vehicle information may be selected before printing by selecting Merge, Insert Customer/Vehicle Information from the menu. To preview the results on the screen, select File, Print Preview from the menu.

Saving a Document

When the editing is completed on a document, it is usually desirable to save the results. If an existing document is being edited, and the aim is to overwrite the previous version, click the Save button in the toolbar, File, Save from the menu, or simply close the document. The user will be queried about saving the changes. Selecting Yes will overwrite the existing document with the modified document. Selecting No will exit without saving the changes. Selecting Cancel will return to active document window with the changes intact, but not saved.

To save a modified document with a different name than the original, select File, Save As. You are prompted to select the folder and file name for the document.

The default location to save an existing document will be the Data folder under the ROWriter folder on the server if this is a workstation. If the document is not saved in the Data folder (see Data Locations), the Marketing and Follow-up module will not see it.
