Central Office Server Setup Window
You configure the connection, transmission, and conflict resolution information on the Central Office Server Setup window.
On the Central Office server machine, open R.O. Writer Configuration . Then, click File menu > Central Office Setup. The Central Office Server Setup window opens.
What to Transmit Section
In the What to Transmit section, you select the server, database, and store information.
Setting |
Description |
---|---|
Working On |
The Working On dropdown list contains all the databases on the server that the current user has access to. Select the database in the Working On dropdown list that you want to configure as the Central Office server database. This is the database that you will be importing store data into during transmissions. |
Server Name |
The Server Name is the name of the server you are currently logged into in Data Locations. You cannot select another server on this window. If you want to select another server, you need to close this window, open Data Locations, and log into another server and database. |
Store Number |
The store number is a field where you can enter the legacy store number used in the previous version of Central Office for the store selected in the Working On dropdown list. In previous versions of Central Office, the Store Number was used to identify the store. Now, R.O. Writer and Central Office use a GUID number in the database to identify the store. Central Office generates the GUID based on the machine name of the transmission store. By entering the legacy store number in the Store Number field, you are connecting the old Store Number to the new GUID. |
No Transmit |
You would check No Transmit to make sure that the database for the Central Office Store Number never transmits. NOTE: On the Central Office server machine, an Ignore This Store in Central Office setting appears in Setup Stores in R.O. Writer Configuration. |
