Selecting and Posting Multiple Services

Service Intervals Plus offers many more services than just standard mileage intervals. The Service Types Window displays all services available for the selected vehicle.

As a result, you may want to select more than one service at a time. If you select multiple services, keep in mind that

Working with Multiple Services

When multiple service types are selected, each service appears in a separate group on the Service Details Window. The top row of the group is the service. The sub-rows describe the details of the service.

You can select only one service at a time. If one service is selected and you click the checkbox of the top row of another service to select it, the first service is unselected automatically.

This means that you can transfer only one service to Smart eCat at a time.

R.O. Writer recommends that you post one service type at a time to the open ticket as well.

Posting Multiple Services

If you have selected multiple services, R.O. Writer recommends that you post each service to the open ticket by clicking the Post Button because it always posts the service and returns you to the Service Details Window where you can transfer the remaining services.

This method ensures that each service posts as a separate labor operation.

To Select Multiple Services and Post Each One as a Labor Operation

Complete these steps:

  1. On the Service Details Window, click the checkbox of the labor row of the service to select that service.
  2. Click Go! to transfer the service to Smart eCat.

  3. If there are catalog parts, Smart eCat searches the Suppliers in the Default Coverage. Select the parts from the suppliers.
  4. On the Posted Parts and Labor tab, review the parts and labor.
  5. Select the posting options.
  6. Select the labor options. For details, click the following link: Recommended Configuration and Posting.
  7. Click the Post button to post the service to the open ticket as a labor operation.
    • The service is posted to the open ticket.
    • The Service Details Window appears automatically.
    • All line items in the service just posted have the Posted button at the beginning of the line.

  1. Repeat Steps 1—5 for each service you want to post to the open ticket.
  2. On the final service, click the Post/Exit button to post the service and close Smart eCat.

    If you are prompted that other services are pending, at least one selected service has not been transferred to Smart eCat yet.

    • Click Yes to ignore the pending services, post the current service, and close Smart eCat.
    • Click No to stay on the current service.
    • Click the Post button to post the current service and return to the Service Details Window.
  3. Each service is posted as a separate labor operation.

NOTE: R.O. Writer recommends that you post one service at a time to the open ticket.
If you transfer multiple services to Smart eCat and then post multiple services to the open ticket at the same time, only one labor operation posts to the ticket. All service details are grouped into the first labor operation in the list on the Labor tab.

To Remove Services from the Service Detail Window

You can remove a service that has not been posted yet.

Complete these steps:

  1. Click the Service Types button The Service Types toolbar button..
  2. Uncheck the service type.
  3. Click OK. The Service Details Window appears again.
  4. Only the currently selected services appear.
  5. Any previously posted services still appear with a Posted button.
